PRICING

Rough gemstones and man-made material are sold by the "carat" (weight).  Depending on the type and quality of the material, the price changes.  Natural material can have a price range from  $0.50 to $150.00 a carat.  Man-made rough can be as low as $0.06 a carat up to $50.00, but it weighs 2 to 3 times more than the natural material and  is usually very hard.  (See the "Gemstone Hardness" page.)

1)  Once a gemstone type, size, color, and design have been selected, the buyer is responsible for paying for the rough material and half the labor cost up front.

2)  In most cases, we have a professional jeweler mount the stone in a setting.  If jewelry setting is part of the package, that portion is to be paid by the customer  at the start of the project.

3)  After our project is complete, we will email photos of the finished product to you.  If you are satisfied with the gemstone and/or jewelry, we will make arrangements for the final payment.

4)  Our gemstones are quality and guaranteed to be cut to your satisfaction.  

5)  If you find the quality is not acceptable, or there is a flaw in the stone, you may return it for a full refund within 15 days.  The item must be returned to Ashton Gems in the exact condition it left.  Any return that has been modified will not be accepted.  Ashton Gems must be notified first  before you can make a return.

Please note, all computer monitors are not the same.   I might show you a red stone but to you it looks pink.  Before we start a project, we will make every attempt possible to make sure that the colors we see are the colors you see.
